Month One

Well, Elliot is just about 5 weeks old and so far so good! He gets up about 3 times each night, but he eats quickly and goes straight back to bed. He has had a few bad nights, but they are much rarer than the good nights. Alex continues to do really well with him. She occasionally is overzealous with the hugs and kisses, but overall she enjoys having him around. I have a bunch of pictures to post from the past month, but there should have been more. Johnny's dad got a new camera, so I was lazy about taking pictures when they were in town because he was getting a bunch of good ones. We have those pictures on CD, but our computer's hard drive is full, so I can't upload them to the blog just yet. Stay tuned...

My mom and Nathan both have birthdays in July. We celebrated them on their respective days (my mom on Friday the 13th and Nathan on the 19th) with food on the deck and cupcakes. Nathan shared his 35th birthday with Elliot's one month birthday so it was a double celebration. Alex loves to sing Happy Birthday, so she sang several times to all three...

We set up the play mat for Elliot and he seems to like looking at the lights and the butterflies hanging from above. Alex likes to get in on the fun, too.
